A luxury country farmhouse with sweeping views over the beautiful Stroud valleys. Located near the pretty Cotswold market town of Stroud, Hammonds Farm is nestled in 100 acres of grassy farmland and surrounded by fields, woodland and close to great pubs and fantastic walks. The tranquil surroundings offer a world away from city life and are easily accessible from the M4 and M5- the property has ample parking- with Stroud railway station a short five minute taxi ride away. The renovated farmhouse sits within large landscaped gardens featuring a furnished patio area and a sun deck - perfect spots to enjoy the stunning views and sunsets whilst cooking over the gas barbecue, relaxing under the stars or playing a game on the lawn. The accommodation is set over 3 storeys with a single storey connected annex. Two large sitting rooms at the front of the house provide a place to unwind; watch a film on the large screen TV, play one of the numerous games or read a book next to our wood fired log burner on those chillier evenings. Our games room is equipped with a 7ft pool table that converts to table tennis or air hockey giving you a choice of games to play. The light and spacious dining room comfortably seats 16 around a solid oak dining table. The large kitchen has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. There is a large double oven, gas hob, dishwasher, large fridge and under counter freezer and enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for all your guests, with an additional kitchenette in the annex equipped with a kettle, toaster and fridge. The house sleeps 16 and has 8 double bedrooms - four of the bedrooms have zip-link beds which can be adapted to twin beds upon request, making the space easily adaptable to your needs. The bedrooms are spacious, with gorgeous super king beds and the first and second floor rooms have the most stunning dual aspect views of rolling green valleys. 6 of the 8 bedrooms have en-suite shower/bath rooms with floor to ceiling marble tiles and underfloor heating, whilst the two ground floor bedrooms share a bathroom. There is an option for a 17th guest with a single fold out bed made up in one of the larger rooms, upon request and charged at £30 a night. Whilst the guests have sole use of the house during their stay, the farm is a working farm so there may be activity/people in other areas of the farm. The owners will be there to greet guests upon arrival and will be available by phone for any questions/issues during your stay. Hammonds Farm is situated 2 miles outside of Stroud. It is surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside and there are numerous walks from the house. There are 3 pubs within 2/3 mile walk. Stroud has a fantastic farmers market on a Saturday and has a few bars, restaurants and takeaways. A supermarket can be found 1.5 miles away. We produce our own vegetables and meat which guests are able to buy - price lists available on request.
